OK, I’ll admit it… I’ve been passionate about firearms from a young age, learning early from my parents about gun safety and having a respect for guns. From roaming on 200 acres as a child – to the corporate world – to the gun range, it’s a continuing journey. Having been in the Dallas area for over 30 years employed in all types of industries, the corporate world has provided me with a solid experience of working with all types of people. And, involvement with various nonprofit organizations has allowed me to work with folks from all walks of life. Several years ago, my gun passion was re-ignited in a different way when I became a member of several groups and began participating in shooting matches. As I met numerous women, I observed a great number were new to firearms; others had taken a concealed carry class but never pursued getting their license or picked up a firearm again. With changes in our world today, an aging population, and rising crime rates my awareness heightened to the point where I felt driven to help women – regardless of what level they are on. Everyone has to start somewhere, or may just want to freshen up skills not used in a while. We can all agree there is no substitute for situational awareness and the need to be prepared for any unforeseen situation. In addition to being alert and aware, we must train!
So, in my interest to help women, TXS2 Training was born.
